“When in the course of human events…”

A little over a month ago (Sunday, July 12th), Daddy and I want to Heritage Day, an annual celebration which includes a reenactment of the reading of The Declaration of Independence as it was read in that town in 1776. They have encampments with real cannons that they actually fire (only gun powder though, no cannon balls) and the people are dressed up in period clothing!!! It’s a lot of fun!!!

After we listened to the Declaration we went down to the encampment to watch them fire the cannons.  Here is a video (sorry there’s no sound):

They also explain how the guns work, about the ammunition, and different military strategies. Later on, they have fireworks too. So, when added all together, we had a very nice Heritage Day!!!
