Meet Ebony

Okay! So I am finally back to finish introducing our bunnies! It was very hard choosing names for the last two, but most of us are very happy with their names now.

The first one is Ebony, who is a female. She was so much fun to take pictures of! This oneΒ  is probably my favorite:

And this last one is my second favorite picture of Ebony!

While Ebony is adorable, she is also very independent and has no problem nipping when you try to stop her from doing something! In the cage, it can be almost impossible to pet her, and out of the cage, she won’t put up with being cuddled. So when we take her out, we try to give exploring space, but also train her to stay still in our arms and be turned over on her back so that we can clip her toenails.

That pretty much sums up Ebony! I’ll let you know if we ever tame this wild little girl. πŸ˜‰

About Michelle

I am the middle of three daughters, daily living by the grace of God and in awe of Christ's perfect love, to suffer and die in atonement for my sins, and then rise from the dead to give me eternal life with Him. I get excited about reading/applying/talking about God's Word, travel, fellowship, nutrition, books, writing, photography, cooking and especially baking, designing things, event planning, and doing things with my family.

Wow! I like the new layout, Michelle! It’s so neat! πŸ˜€

Great to finally meet Ebony! She looks like she has a bit of an attitude. πŸ˜‰

I love the rose picture, by the way, very elegant. And I can hardly wait to read about how the Bright Lights meeting went! Hint, hint! πŸ˜€

Love the pictures Michelle! Ah, yes…clipping the toenails of rabbits, depending on the rabbit or the rabbit’s mood, can sometimes be tricky. Especially if that rabbit would rather be somewhere else…

I like the new template too!!

Thanks for the comments, girls! Isn’t the template great?!?! I just love how the pictures show up against it. πŸ˜€

I know, Risa! And I do PROMISE to write a Bright Lights update soon. But until then, I’ll just let you know that 9 girls came, one of them being a helper, and a few of the girls told me that they really enjoyed it, which was encouraging.

To Samantha: Oh my, YES! We have had such trouble clipping these rabbit’s toenails! In the past, we’ve had 2 Holland Lops, one Mini Lop, a Netherland Dwarf, and a pregnant Holland Lop mix, from which we got 7 babies, all of whom inherited genetic illnesses from their mother that we had no idea about when we got her. So all in all, that’s 12 rabbits we’ve taken care of. So we thought we knew all that a rabbit owner need possibly know (we learned all about diseases, administering medication, providing for a pregnant and nursing Doe, determining gender, proper foods, healthy living space, even learning to put locks on the cages after a few problems with overly “friendly” people), but with these Lionheads, it’s like learning about a whole new species!!! But that’s a whole ‘nother story… πŸ™„

Au Revoir my sweet friends, it’s off to plan Bright Lights meeting 2, for the 25th ( 😯 )!
